The Heat

I am done for. Done For. A week of it. A whole week of it. It’s like I’m trapped in the living room. When I whinge and do go out it’s so bloody hot I run straight back in and forget to my cock my leg. I’ve had enough. Walking at dawn, what is that all about? I need my sleep. Ball chasing at 7.00 in the morning. Is he barking mad? It’s my breakfast I want at that time. It’s a whole new life and I DO NOT LIKE IT! I want my routine back. Normality. I plead for normality once again.

I’ve been in the sink a few times and sprayed down with cold water. It’s really nice and cooling but it seems me having a good shake afterwards, before I’ve been toweled, is not the done thing. Something about not wanting water on his steak?

It makes him indoors a bit grisly as well. Let me tell you, it is not a pretty site looking at him walking about in next to nothing. Shorts? No shirt? Pah. The worst is bed-time. No quilt. No pyjamas. It’s SOOOOOOOO horrible. I can’t settle anywhere, that glistening white body is always catching the corner of my eye. Cover up man, be brave, cover up and spare me!

It does appear the real world continues though because he told the Queen yesterday “why not make it up as you go along”. Not quite sure what he meant, but he gave me a bit of pineapple so it can’t be all bad.

Don’t know what to make of the election. This wooden woman doesn’t seem to me to be very inspirational for us. Will she really sort out this Brexit stuff? I suppose logically everybody wants a deal, so both sides will settle on something to suit both sides. That is how it always has worked in my experience. It needs a win-win in sales speak. Her team isn’t exactly inspirational either from where I’m standing. But then , the other lot aren’t either with their Alice in Wonderland wish lists. Never trusted a Marxist (or a Trotskyist or any other “ist” for that matter). Truth is, as the boss asked me, would you employ any of the Cabinet or Shadow Cabinet in your own business? Me? I wouldn’t have one of them near my own business!

The heat meant we had to cancel our day down to Ross on Wye this week. It was planned for me to catch up on the gossip with my doggie pals Lottie & Libby. Too hot in the car apparently. At least he cares about me, so no complaints from me. Those folks who take dogs out in the day in this heat should be subjected to being made to walk barefoot on pavements and see how they like it.

Woof! Woof! Woof!
