And look not for answers where no answers can be found

It’s all been a mixture of good and bad, which I suppose is the story of life. My good was going on holiday for three days without him indoors. It was all a surprise; if I could remember everything I did I would tell you. But I haven’t seen Auntie Karen since – who took me away for three nights to mid-Wales – to help me remember what we actually did! I hope it’s ok to tell the world later otherwise she might take me to that glue factory with which the Boss keeps threatening me.

He’s had a strange old time, poor chap. Firstly, he missed me lots. I could tell so I played really hard to get. After all, he left me at Auntie Karen’s and cleared off to a family wedding. I know he had a good time seeing all the family because he kept sending messages to Karen asking how I was – which meant he was feeling guilty having such a good time without me. When I eventually came home – three days after he expected hahaha – he spoilt me rotten for the next couple of days. Sardines in oil, fish skins, playing ball…I had it all.

Meanwhile, in his real world, he told me all about a dear friend whose husband had died suddenly. He was beside himself with grief for the lady’s family; I haven’t seen him quite so upset ever!! But, you know, none of us know when the moment of departure is going to arrive. Even me, and I know most things. He said to me “you never know”, “you never know”. Where is the answer to it all?

Did you know that once of month he completely ignores me for a day? Can you believe it? I bloody hate it and I let him know. Apparently there is this Music in the Hall thing he organizes with his pal Peter (a fine man, despite him treating me rather less lovingly than I would like). When it’s on he leaves me lots, although to be fair, he often gives me chips when he eventually comes home late at night after it has finished. Sadly I can’t help myself, I leap about and wag my tail because I am so pleased to see him come home but worse, I sit up and beg which really is rather showing myself up.

As to the meaning of life and those answers we all want to the questions that The Maestro asks (Bob Dylan, all you non-believers; I’m certain you have worked out from whom all my titles come from) – down here in Rumpy Pumpy Court we don’t have any!!! We do try, and talk a lot about finding the answers to life, but so far it appears that “food” or “treats’ doesn’t meet his criteria for answers. He mentioned this morning that being a “foodie” (I think he meant himself not me) was a tough life because it involved constant decision making!! Anybody know what he means?

I’m working on getting The Boss to start ranting (it’s seriously funny when he starts and always based on total generalisations with little fact) but I reckon it will keep us all entertained! I promise I will keep at it but be warned! Once he starts its hard to stop him!  Apparently one of his best pals simply said at Music last night how good it was to have such a great night of live music. The Boss went into overdrive about “the shit that is X-Factor and the Voice” and how it destroys creative arts from original artists. I’m just warning you.

Me?

“Don’t ask me nothing about nothing, I might just tell you the truth”

Woof! Woof! Woof!
